When using the AI Script Writer, scripts are automatically personalized using information already associated with your SalesMail profile — such as your name, job title, community, and information from your website — helping AI generate messages that sound natural, accurate, and relevant to you and your audience. 🤓
Corporate scripts also include automated personalization, dynamically inserting details such as the recorder’s name, role, or community so each team member can deliver consistent messaging in their own voice. 💪
The Script Library and Teleprompter are helpful anytime you want to feel more confident and prepared on camera — whether you’re creating your own messaging or using scripts provided by your organization.
Common use cases include:
Recording consistent responses to common situations such as inquiry follow-ups, tour reminders, or frequently asked questions
Supporting team members who are newer to video or prefer added structure when recording
Delivering longer or more detailed messages, such as policy updates, weather alerts, or important announcements
Using corporate or leadership-provided scripts designed to reflect your organization’s voice and messaging
Scripts are flexible — teams and individual users can decide when a script makes sense and when a more conversational, free-form video is the better approach.
For multi-location organizations, corporate-approved scripts can include merge elements that automatically insert each team member’s:
Name - [YOUR NAME]
Job title - [TITLE]
Community or location - [COMMUNITY] OR [LOCATION]
(both of these merge elements do the same thing; you can use either one)
You can also personalize your script using the recipient name merge element: [RECIPIENT]. When you use the CRM or Contacts search in SalesMail to select who you’re sending your video to, the teleprompter will automatically replace [RECIPIENT] with that person’s name. If you record a video without using the CRM or Contacts search, the [RECIPIENT] tag will remain visible in the teleprompter as a reminder to say your recipient’s name out loud.
For example:
“Hi [RECIPIENT]*, I’m [YOUR NAME], the [TITLE] at [COMMUNITY]…” translates in the user's teleprompter with their actual info:
"Hi Mrs. Walker, I'm Jane Smith, the Community Relations Director at Treeville Community"
This ensures brand consistency while keeping each video personal and local—without requiring manual edits.
Create and save scripts in the Script Library in the SalesMail Portal. Hard refresh your browser if you don't see the Script Library menu item on the left.
Write scripts manually or generate them with AI. AI is aware of your name, title, where you work, and your website and will use that information to generate a great script.
Click the teleprompter icon near the record button. (Teleprompter is available in the portal and coming soon in the mobile app.)
Choose a script and hit the record button, read from the teleprompter, and then stop the recording when you are done. That's it!

Script permissions are role-based:
Standard users can create and use personal scripts but cannot share them.
Admin users in a community level account can share scripts with other users at that community.
Admin or Corporate users in the corporate parent account can share scripts organization-wide.
To share a script:
Create or edit a script in your Script Library in the SalesMail Portal.
Select the “Share with Team” checkbox and save.
The script becomes available to other community users if you are a member of a community account, or with the entire organization if you are part of the corporate parent account.
This allows leadership to maintain consistent messaging while giving local teams flexibility in delivery.
