Recording on Your Phone and Combining Clips Before Uploading to SalesMail

This article explains how to record video directly on your phone, combine multiple video clips using CapCut or YouCut, and upload the finished video into SalesMail. This workflow is recommended for longer or multi-day recordings.

⚠️ Multi-Clip Timing Limitation (Important)

Multi-Clip works best when all videos are recorded within a short, continuous session.

If recording stretches over a long period of time, such as leaving the app open and returning later the same day or on another day the app may time out or be interrupted by other activity on your phone. When this happens, recording cannot continue reliably and unsaved clips may be lost.

Best practice

  • Use Multi-Clip only when you can complete all clips in one session.

  • For longer recordings or multi-day workflows, use your phone’s camera and combine clips externally before uploading.

Why Use This Workflow

  • Avoids Multi-Clip timeouts during long recording timelines

  • Gives full control over trimming and order

  • Produces one clean video file for upload

Step 1: Record Video on Your Phone

  1. Open your phone’s Camera app.

  2. Choose portrait or landscape and keep it consistent across all clips.

  3. Record each segment.

  4. Review clips and delete obvious mistakes.

Step 2: Combine Clips Using CapCut or YouCut

Option A: CapCut

  1. Open CapCutNew Project

  2. Select all recorded clips

  3. Arrange clips on the timeline

  4. Trim as needed

  5. Adjust audio if necessary

  6. Export at 1080p (MP4 / H.264)

Option B: YouCut

  1. Open YouCutNew Project

  2. Add all video clips

  3. Reorder and trim

  4. Adjust audio if needed

  5. Export at 1080p

Recommended export settings

  • Resolution: 1080p

  • Frame rate: 30 fps

  • Format: MP4 (H.264)

Step 3: Upload to SalesMail

  1. Open the SalesMail mobile app or web portal

  2. Goto the "Upload a Video" Option

  3. Choose the exported video and upload

  4. You can now share your SalesMail Video or save for a later time

Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Mixing portrait and landscape clips

  • Exporting in non-standard formats or low resolution (File must be .mp4 or .mov format)

  • Uploading without previewing the final video

Summary

Multi-Clip is ideal for short, same-session recordings. For anything longer, record directly on your phone, merge clips using CapCut or YouCut, and upload a single finished video to SalesMail.
