Event and Activity Videos

Capturing events and activities and documenting memories on video is a wonderful service and experience you provide to your residents and their family members.  Videos showcasing events and activities can also help show prospective residents and family members what they have to look forward to when they join your community.  Here are some tips, footage suggestions, and ideas you can use to capture events and activities for marketing videos.  Don't forget to share these videos with family members; they will cherish them!

Getting Prepared
Before the event or activity, have a plan for who will take photos and record video.  More than one person can capture the content!  In fact, it is really helpful when we receive a variety of content from various angles and a combination of photos and video clips.

During the Event/Activity

  • Capture with phone held horizontally
  • Use both hands to hold your phone and stabilize with tucked elbows
  • Slow and Steady when recording video clips
  • Don’t zoom
  • Capture from different perspectives 
  • Take a wide variety of photos and footage.  Don't forget to take close ups of details such as decor, food, and materials.  
After the Event
